CMR University is a private university established in 2013 under the CMR University Act. The university is located in Bangalore, Karnataka with a campus covering an area of 60 acres. The university is recognized by UGC and accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). As per the 2022 ranking, CMR University is ranked 6th among Best State Private Universities & South Zone and 15th among the top 100 Universities Overall. The university is also ranked 15th across India by R World Institutional Ranking in the MHW Ranking 2022.
CMR University offers B.Tech and MBA as its flagship programs. The university has 10 departments offering 61+ UG, PG and PhD courses in the areas of Architecture, Design, Engineering & Technology, Economics & Commerce, Science Studies, Education, Management, Legal Studies, etc. The total fees of CMR University’s B.Tech and MBA programs are INR 9 lakhs and INR 4.5 lakhs respectively. Admission to CMRU Bangalore is based on CMRUAT followed by a Personal Interview. Further, the university also accepts several national entrance test scores for admission.
CMR University has concluded its 2022 placement drive. Students received 630 placement offers. The highest & average salaries stood at INR 30 LPA & INR 6.5 LPA respectively. About 115 placements were made by 151 participating recruiting companies. 30% of new recruiters visited the campus this year and participated in the placements process. CMR University's hostel accommodation is currently available off-campus in the vibrant and cosmopolitan area of Banaswadi. On-campus accommodation at the CMRU main campus will be available from 2017 onwards. The hostels feature high-speed wired internet access and dining facility. The hostels are located in heart of Banaswadi. The adjoining CMR Road offers students access to a wide range of dining and entertainment options. Single and double room accommodations are available on first come first served basis.
